unburdened by the complication of too much thought

having made this statement, I feel the subtle ' that's what you think'...
I miss the doing, the direct response to the plastic materials that are the ultimate arena of y practice. The Alchemy that Elkins describes, pushing the goo, the slickery slime of paint, the responsive clay, the patina of bronze.. in my hands..
Once my adviser is revealed, I will probably shape my work to take advantage of what is possible... I am already exhausted and it is only Saturday. I have begun my study plan in a vague way, selected a few books on film theory, continuing to look at how others have framed their understanding of processing time based signals, intervals, the third eye..
